Automatic upgrades will roll out more features to existing tables

Automatic upgrades apply recommended features to your Unity Catalog managed tables after verifying workload compatibility. Databricks is expanding the features that automatic upgrades apply to existing tables. Starting in July 2026, automatic upgrades will roll out row tracking and Checkpoint V2 to existing tables.
