Changes to query results in the GitHub Actions API and UI
Queries for workflow runs in the GitHub Actions API and UI now return a less precise but more accurate count of records when you search by workflow, event, status, branch, or actor. We will continue to return paginated results of up to 1,000 items.
Require proof of presence for high-impact actions
You can now require an interactive re-authentication or a multi-factor challenge before members take high-impact actions on GitHub Enterprise Cloud accounts. Proof of presence is an expansion of GitHub’s sudo mode for enterprises, enforcing a higher security bar when it’s needed.
Node 20 is no longer available in GitHub Actions
This is the final notification that Node 20 is no longer available on GitHub Actions runners. Runners now use Node 24 for JavaScript actions. The temporary ACTIONS_ALLOW_USE_UNSECURE_NODE_VERSION opt-out is no longer available. If you maintain a JavaScript action, update its runs.using value to node24 and publish a new release as soon as possible.
