Prefer apps for presentations
Added a Prefer apps organization setting that makes apps the default presentation type in the workbook's Presentation dialog, the sidebar's New menu, and when the Omni Agent builds a presentation without being told which format to use. AI You can now deliver AI routine results to a webhook, in addition to email and Slack.
API
- Fixed an issue where using mode=merged without a branchId on a shared or shared extension model in the Create or update YAML files API returned an unclear error. It now returns a 400 response with the message Mode 'merged' requires a branchId on a shared or shared extension model .
Content
- Added the ability to open a branch to Viewers and Restricted Queriers , including embed users, so they can view the branch's content instead of production through a direct link, without being able to edit it. Replaced the Changes, Version history, and Drafts drawers with a single History drawer, available from workbooks, dashboards, and standalone apps.
Dashboards
Added a Refresh w/o cache option to the dashboard tile menu. It reruns that tile's query while skipping all caches, along with any tiles that reference it through XLOOKUP , query-sourced filters, or spreadsheets.
Embedding
- Added the dashboard:set-filters embed event, which changes filter values on an embedded dashboard. Added the dashboard:set-controls embed event, which lets you update one or more controls (field switchers, timeframe switchers, multi-field pickers, top N limits) on an embedded dashboard without reloading it.
Integrations
- Microsoft Fabric is now available as a connection type for all organizations. Organization Admins now set up the Slack AI integration with their own Slack app, matching the setup required for the other AI integrations like Google Drive and GitHub.
