Teardown now available for run steps

For customers needing cleanup work to run no matter how a job ends, we now support teardown steps. Add a teardown list to any run step, and CircleCI runs those steps at the end of the job, including when the job fails, is canceled, or times out.

Slack notifications for on-hold workflows are now actionable. When a workflow is paused at an approval job, the Slack notification includes Approve and Cancel buttons, so you can act on it without opening the CircleCI web app. The buttons appear in both project channel notifications and direct messages, and each action asks for confirmation before it runs.
Deprecation of v1 and v1.1 Trigger and Rerun APIs, February 1, 2027
CircleCI is retiring 10 legacy v1 and v1.1 API endpoints used to trigger and rerun builds. They will be removed on February 1, 2027. This extends the date previously communicated by email (November 1, 2026). After that date, requests to these endpoints return HTTP 410 Gone.
In-app support chat now available
You can now get additional assistance and file support tickets directly from the CircleCI web app with the new in-app support chat. To use it, open the Help menu at the top right of the web app and enable the support chat toggle.

Self-Hosted Runner: Bitbucket Cloud is retiring SSH access via bitbucket.org
Bitbucket Cloud is retiring SSH access via bitbucket.org on 12 November 2026 and moving it to ssh.bitbucket.org(Atlassian announcement). We are updating CircleCI’s build agent to use the new host so that Bitbucket Cloud checkouts continue to work after the cutover.
Xcode 27.2 Beta 2 Available

Deprecation of Xcode 14.3.1, 26.3.0, 26.2.0, and 26.1.1
Following our Xcode image retention policy , Xcode 14.3.1, 26.3.0, 26.2.0, and 26.1.1 have been marked as deprecated and will be removed on October 30th, 2026. We will be performing 24 hour brownouts from 00:00:01 to 23:59:59 UTC during which these images will be unavailable. The brownout and deprecation schedule can be found below.
