In June 2026, we announced the public preview release of folders in Synthetic Monitoring . With folders, you can group checks by team, service, or environment so the right checks are always easy to find and act on a whole group at once instead of one check at a time. Folders in Synthetic Monitoring are now generally available.

More Grafana Cloud releases
Every Grafana Cloud releaseConnect Synthetic Monitoring checks to your services with Knowledge Graph
Grafana Cloud Synthetic Monitoring now integrates with the knowledge graph, available in public preview. When a check fails or slows down, you can see the service it monitors, explore its dependencies, and compare check results with service health to narrow down where to investigate. Synthetic checks show how your application behaves from the outside.
Plan your dashboard before building it with Grafana Assistant
Dashboard plans, now in public preview, let you review and refine a proposed dashboard before Grafana Assistant builds it. Describe what you want to monitor, and the Assistant presents a plan in chat that includes the dashboard title, tabs or rows, panels, visualization types, and variables.
Role managers can revoke access they do not hold
If you have the required permissions to manage roles or role assignments, you can revoke access without holding the permissions being removed. This applies when you update or delete a role, or remove role assignments through the /api/access-control/ APIs.
Run Database Observability on clustered Grafana Alloy
Database Observability now supports Grafana Alloy clustering for MySQL and PostgreSQL. When you run several Alloy nodes with the same configuration, Alloy assigns each database to exactly one node. Telemetry collection is distributed across the cluster and automatically moves to another node if one becomes unavailable, without duplicating data.
Catch pipeline issues across your services
The entity catalog , and the Application page, which shows that same catalog scoped to services , now has a Pipeline issues tab, next to Instrumentation quality , that lists detected telemetry-pipeline problems for your whole stack in one place.
Build data-driven dashboards with the updated Text visualization
Text visualizations are useful for adding context to dashboards, but the core visualization has traditionally been limited to static Markdown, HTML, and dashboard variables. If you wanted to create a table from query results, display a status summary, or change text based on a value, you often had to use custom code or another visualization type.
Recommended Usage Alerts
Get started with cost and usage alerts based on your Grafana Cloud usage We’re excited to announce the general availability of Recommended Usage Alerts in the Cost Management and Billing App! Knowing what to monitor - and where to set thresholds - can make it difficult to get started with usage alerting.
Create an SLO from a Synthetic Monitoring check
Synthetic Monitoring checks can now connect directly to Grafana SLO (Service Level Objective), so you can use checks and their reachability data to measure service reliability. How it works Open any check’s dashboard and use the Linked SLOs button to create an SLO right from a Synthetic Monitoring check!
